Our Purpose and Vision
Teach and instill a love for music through music instruction.
Music is a like a team sport. Everyone must work together to produce beautiful music for audiences to enjoy.
Social skills, self-control and respect for the conductor/teacher and peer leaders is "instrumental" to any band program and a worthy life skill to learn.
Music performance is to give others the gift of music to bring joy, healing and can transport the audience beyond the cares and worries of the day.
Music can be a daily cognitive workout for the brain and studies have shown this to be true.
Music improves motor skills and hand-brain coordination including breathing exercises for wind players.
Where would the world be without music and without musicians? There would be no musical sounds of expression in movies, at weddings, in small or larger concerts or in your own home. Remember this when you hear music in your daily life!
