The purpose of the Mesa Verde Music Boosters Association is to provide organization, logistical, and financial support to the Mesa Verde Music Program.
The Music Boosters accomplish these purposes through parental participation in the Music program through planning, community involvement and fundraising.Â
The Music Boosters’ success in these activities depends on the degree of communication and coordination achieved among all contributors.Â
The Booster Club shall support the music director and seek his/her input on issues that may affect the music program, booster club or students.Â
The Music Boosters depend on each other’s strengths to perform effectively as a family. An effective Booster organization allows the Director and Musicians to concentrate on the technical aspects of their performance.
2025-2026 Executive Board Members
The following roles contain position descriptions that provide a general idea and are not absolute.
Shall preside at all meetings of the Association and the Executive Board;
Shall act as liaison between the Music Director and the Association and assist the Music Director in planning, organizing, and supporting the music program;
Shall organize and plan the End-of-Year Party in conjunction with the Executive Board and Music Director;
Shall be responsible for publicity of the music program;
Shall assist the Music Program in other areas throughout the year as needed.
Vice President: Jon Courtney
Shall act as an aid to the President;
In the absence of the President, the Vice President shall perform the duties of the President
Shall assist the Music Program in other areas throughout the year as needed;
Shall be responsible for keeping an updated list of all musical equipment and instruments;
Shall be responsible for keeping an updated list of all donors and sponsors.
Secretary: VACANT
Shall keep an accurate record of the proceedings of all meetings of the Association and Executive Board;
Shall be prepared to present and refer to minutes of previous meetings;
Shall conduct all necessary correspondence of the Association;
Shall assist the Music Program in other areas throughout the year as needed;
Shall pay all bills authorized by the Executive Board or the Association;
Shall keep an accurate accounting record of receipts and disbursements;
Shall maintain all records and organize all invoices and disbursements;
Shall prepare and present monthly financial statements at every meeting of the Association and at other times when requested by the Association, as well as a list of all checks written and deposits made;
Shall insure disbursements are authorized or seek proper authorization before making payments;
Shall make a full annual report to the Association;
Shall provide a list of warrants (payments) made during the previous month to the Executive Board and booster club at the next scheduled booster meeting;
Works with a tax preparer to have booster tax records filed as necessary;Â
Financial Secretary: VACANT
Shall receive all monies for the Association and shall deposit them in the name of the Association in a bank approved by the Executive Board;
Shall notify the Executive Board of all deposits made, in writing or via email, with the exact amount(s) and the source(s) of the deposits (i.e. candy, uniforms, trips, etc.).
Shall assist the Music Program in other areas throughout the year as needed;
Shall prepare start up cash for events and fundraisers.
Member-at-Large: Fundraising Coordinator: Danny Moore
Shall coordinate, plan, and oversee overall fundraising with the assistance of the Executive Board and Music Director;
Shall maintain close contact and communication with the Music Director and assist him/her as needed for special events;
Shall assist the Music Program in other areas throughout the year as needed.
Member-at-Large: Registration Coordinator: VACANT
Shall receive all registration forms from music students enrolled in or who participate in the music program including name, address, home phone number, and email address;
Shall input all registration information into a database that will be accessible to the Executive Board as needed;
Shall maintain an accurate database of all music students, including registration information; fees, uniforms sizes and payments received, special event or trip fees, and any other pertinent information needed for an effective music program;
Shall assist the Music Program in other areas throughout the year as needed.
